About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Tax will own the group tax strategy and preserve and create value across Perigus Energy by reducing cash leakage, optimising investment structures and managing tax risk proactively. Acting as a commercial partner to investment, legal, finance, treasury and advisory teams across Ireland, the UK, Germany and Spain, the role requires someone who can challenge assumptions and translate complex tax matters into practical solutions that improve cash flow and support transaction execution. With more than 100 operating and non-operating entities, the group has a complex, multi-jurisdictional structure that will continue to evolve as the business grows. This is a hands-on opportunity to build a scalable in-house tax function, improve how tax is managed across the group and support Perigus Energy through its next stage of development.

Investment Structuring & Transactions
· Lead tax structuring for acquisitions, development investments, joint ventures, disposals and group reorganisations.
· Support tax due diligence and funding papers and liaise with counterparty and supporting tax teams.
· Structure consideration, milestone and earn-out payments and funding flows to manage interest income, deductibility and restrictions.
· Provide and validate tax assumptions within investment cases, and own implementation and post-deal integration of agreed structures.
Compliance & Governance
· Ireland & UK: Own annual corporate tax returns, VAT, RCT compliance and provisioning; act as principal contact with Revenue and HMRC.
· Germany, Denmark & Spain: Oversee outsourced compliance, controlling scope, cost and consistency with the group position.
